Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver more of what members love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Leader:
    Supervise the team in Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to overall club success. Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and company. Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.
  • Be an Expert:
    Maintain an in-depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations. Ensure the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. Manage seasonality in item volume, product knowledge, processes, and time prioritization. Collaborate with associates to provide resources, share knowledge, and train the team.
  • Be a Techie:
    Leverage digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and quality, while adopting new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  • Be an Owner:
    Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, and plan for profitability. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and members. Maintain adequate staffing, audit and compliance standards, and display merchandise according to layout plans while modeling member service.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador:
    Teach and train the team to be highly effective. Identify potential and desire in others, develop necessary skills, and deliver high-quality products to members. Encourage career growth, source new talent internally and externally, and implement processes to meet business needs. Monitor progress, results, and improvement opportunities.
  • Promote compliance:
    Explain, guide, and demonstrate company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implement action plans using the Open Door Policy and assist management with ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams, share resources, determine customer needs and priorities, coordinate work assignments, and provide advice and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or supervising a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Acknowledgement of completing all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Hourly wage range
: $22.00 to $30.00 (actual hourly rate may equal or exceed the minimum wage).

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
