Role DescriptionThe Outside Lawn Care Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based in Thompsons Station, TN. This role focuses on generating new business and growing existing accounts by meeting with homeowners and property managers, assessing their lawn care needs, and recommending appropriate service programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting on-site evaluations, providing estimates, closing sales, and following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
The position also involves collaborating with field service teams to coordinate treatments, educating customers on lawn care best practices, and occasionally representing Second Nature at local events or community outreach opportunities. The role requires consistent in-person customer interaction, proactive outreach, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer information.
- Demonstrated experience in Sales and Account Management, including prospecting, consultative selling, and relationship building.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, handle questions, and resolve concerns in person and by phone.
- Background in Field Service or outdoor service work, with comfort working outside in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in Training customers or team members on products, services, or lawn care best practices.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for regular travel within the service area.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, or related home services is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple appointments and follow-ups.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales, horticulture, or agronomy are a plus.
