Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grading and Utility Loader Operator to join our team at Covenant Constructors LLC. The Loader Operator will play a crucial role in our construction and earthmoving projects by efficiently operating heavy equipment to perform grading, excavation, and utility work. This position requires a strong background in heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various heavy equipment, primarily loaders, to perform grading, excavation, and utility tasks as required.
  • Safely and efficiently load and transport materials such as soil, aggregates, and construction debris.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with the site supervisor and project team to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions to execute tasks accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues on-site, seeking assistance for major repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including equipment usage, fuel consumption, and work performed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Loader Operator in a construction or earthmoving environment.
  • Proficiency in operating loaders and other heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and utility processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and instructions.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent hand‑eye coordination and depth perception for precise equipment operation.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and a clean work record in terms of safety.
  • Effective communication skills to work within a team environment.
  • Physical stamina to withstand long hours of equipment operation in varying weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in heavy equipment operation a plus.
