Our client, a leading manufacturer serving the inland marine transportation industry, is seeking a Welder Trainer / Welding Instructor to join their team in Ashland City, TN.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder who enjoys mentoring, coaching, and helping others develop their skills. Whether you come from a manufacturing environment, a welding school, a community college, or years of hands-on welding leadership, this role allows you to make a lasting impact by developing the next generation of skilled welders.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Primarily based within the company's dedicated welding training facility
What You'll DoProvide hands-on welding instruction and coaching for new and current employees
Train welders on FCAW, SAW, SMAW, plasma cutting, oxyfuel cutting, and air-carbon-arc gouging processes
Conduct classroom and shop-floor training covering welding safety, welding processes, welding symbols, blueprints, and visual acceptance criteria
Evaluate welding performance and inspect weld quality
Maintain training, testing, qualification, and certification records
Troubleshoot welding techniques and assist trainees in developing proper welding practices
Support welding procedure qualification and continuous improvement initiatives
Help maintain welding equipment, calibration records, continuity records, and related documentation
Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, craftsmanship, and continuous learning
What We're Looking ForStrong background in FCAW, SAW, and SMAW welding processes
Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and communicate effectively with others
Experience reading welding symbols, blueprints, work instructions, and welding procedures
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ABS, or similar welding standards
Familiarity with weld inspection tools and quality requirements
Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality workmanship
