Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Energy Technician III. As an Energy Technician III, you will act as a local on‑site program and company representative to residential customers, installing energy‑efficient equipment, conducting pre‑ and post‑installation verifications and other technical data gathering activities within a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in Knoxville, Tennessee and travel daily within the region.
Responsibilities- Conduct installation of residential energy‑efficiency upgrades.
- Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.
- Record and report on customer and contractor interactions to program staff to adhere to program requirements.
- Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and product effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues related to installation in accordance with client specifications.
- Act as local, on‑site program and company representative to customers and contractors, encouraging participation in the program and overcoming barriers.
- Travel throughout a defined territory.
- 0-1 years of experience in a related industry.
- High school diploma or associate’s degree.
- Ability to work in all climates, including bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Ability to work in person at multiple homes per day (field service positions).
- Meet all applicable DOT qualification requirements and comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations, if applicable.
$21.10 – $31.70 USD per hour.
