Qualified Mechanic: 1‑3 years as a trailer/chassis mechanic (or similar). Possess most required tools.
Responsibilities- Perform FAI and State required inspections.
- Inspect and repair “S” cam air brake systems.
- Diagnose and repair anti‑lock brake systems.
- Perform repairs to commercial trailers and converter dollies in all potential aspects.
- Perform the required paperwork and/or computer records accordingly.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have necessary tools to perform job functions.
- Willing to work on becoming certified in DOT inspections, Air brake certifications, ASE certified.
- MIG Welding preferred.
- Trailer repair:
Minimum 1 year’s experience required. - ABS
- System troubleshooting and repair. - Corner Radius Repairs.
- Lighting
- Troubleshooting and repairs. - Roof repairs – patch, section and replacement.
- Scuff liner repairs and or replacements.
- Suspensions repairs and replacement.
- Major trailer repair/wreck repairs.
- Bottom/top rail repairs and or replacements.
- Side sheet replacements.
- Threshold repair/replacements.
