Mitigation Technician

SERVPRO Team Bisig is seeking a dependable and motivated Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. This role is responsible for performing water, fire, mold, and biohazard mitigation services at residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and capable of working efficiently in fast‑paced, emergency‑response environments while delivering exceptional customer service.

Perform water damage mitigation, including extraction, drying, and monitoring

Execute fire and smoke damage cleanup, including debris removal and odor control

Conduct mold remediation in accordance with industry and company standards

Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers)

Perform demolition and controlled tear‑out as required

Document job progress with photos, moisture readings, and daily job notes

Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and SERVPRO protocols

Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and adjusters

Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition

Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency services, including nights and weekends

High school diploma or GED required

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods

Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and adverse conditions

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Willingness to work overtime and be on‑call as needed

IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT) preferred or willingness to obtain

Prior experience in restoration, construction, demolition, or general labor

Basic knowledge of moisture mapping and drying principles

Customer service or field‑based experience

Residential and commercial job sites

Exposure to water, mold, smoke, and debris (PPE provided)

Emergency‑response conditions requiring flexibility and urgency
