Maintenance HVAC Technician

Adjacent to the Wayland L. Jenkins Jr. Fine Arts Center

The HVAC Technician maintains, repairs, and installs heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems; maintains electrical systems.

• Maintain and repair boilers, compressors, pumps, air handling equipment, fans, blowers, and associated control systems including lubrication, housekeeping, and repair.
• Repair and maintain split system heat pumps and air conditioning.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems that arise in the HVAC equipment.
• Maintain and repair water coolers and ice machines; repair and maintain coolers and freezer refrigerant systems.
• Maintain campus filter replacement and cleaning system.

• Knowledge of computers to maintain HVAC systems
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• May require walking or standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.

• At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a maintenance or construction environment.
