Automotive Service Technician Experienced Automotive Technician Role Summary

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED technician that enjoys their work and that can provide high quality repairs on vehicles. We are a team that works together to serve our customers and fix cars right the first time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics: Use modern diagnostic techniques and equipment to accurately pinpoint mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
  • Inspections: Conduct and record thorough multi-point digital and photographic vehicle inspections and document findings for Service Advisors to communicate to customers.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
  • Repairs: Repair or replace steering and suspension components, brakes, transmissions, and engines. Road-test vehicles before and after service to ensure all repairs are completed successfully, address customer concerns, and meet safety standards.
Shop Safety

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and hazardous waste disposal regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in an independent shop or dealership service department.
  • Certifications: ASE certifications (A1-A8) are highly preferred but not required;
    Section 609 EPA Certification for HVAC required and a commitment to ongoing education.
  • Software Proficiency: Must be capable of learning software systems (internal) and other systems such as WORD and Excel. Tekmetric experience is a plus.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Tools: Must possess a professional set of tools and basic and specialty tools.
  • Physical: Ability to lift 60-75 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and long periods of standing.
