Roscoe Brown is hiring a Weatherization Helper to join our growing team.

As a Weatherization Helper, you'll work alongside experienced Weatherization Technicians, learning how to improve the energy efficiency, comfort, and safety of homes and businesses through hands-on, on-the-job training.

You'll work alongside experienced Weatherization Technicians who will teach you the skills, tools, and techniques needed to perform quality weatherization work.

You'll learn by doing. Your day may include working in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other areas of a home while assisting with insulation, air sealing, duct insulation, weather-stripping, and other energy-efficiency improvements.

This is an opportunity to develop valuable hands-on skills while learning a specialized trade. As you gain experience and demonstrate your abilities, you'll have opportunities to continue growing with Roscoe Brown.

As a Weatherization Helper, you'll assist experienced Weatherization Technicians with installing and maintaining energy-efficient materials in homes and businesses while learning the skills needed to perform the work independently.

• Assist Weatherization Technicians with residential and commercial weatherization projects
• Learn how to install insulation materials, including blown-in and batt insulation
• Assist with insulating attics, crawl spaces, basements, walls, ductwork, and water lines
• Assist with air sealing and installing weather-stripping, caulking, glazing, and door sweeps
• Help install ventilation materials and other energy-efficiency improvements
• Assist with wrapping water heaters and water lines with appropriate insulating materials
• Learn how weatherization improvements can improve energy efficiency and comfort
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and insulation blowers as trained
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow written and verbal instructions from Weatherization Technicians and leadership
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and leadership
