Summary: The Workforce Group aLEMOINE company, is seeking reliable individuals to join our team as Debris Monitors. Debris Monitors play a critical role in disaster recovery by verifying debris eligibility and ensuring accurate documentation. Field Monitors record the location of storm-related debris, while Tower/Debris Management Site (DMS) Monitors track the volume of debris collected at designated sites.
This is a seasonal position activated during and after disaster response events. Assignments often require short-notice travel and may last from several days to over 30 days, depending on recovery needs. Shifts can extend up to 14 hours per day, 7 days a week. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Location: Marion, LA and surrounding areas (Union Parish)
Responsibilities:- Report punctually to the assigned location and await instructions.
- Observe and monitor the loading of storm debris by trucks, bobcats, and front-end loaders.
- Ensure only eligible storm debris from public rights-of-way or designated property is collected.
- Confirm that all eligible debris is removed and that driveways and roadways are cleared before equipment moves to the next location.
- Accurately complete and submit Load Tickets and required documentation.
- Report any property damage caused by contractors during debris removal.
- Maintain a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents, contractors, officials, and team members.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to work long shifts (12–14 hours), including weekends.
- Physically able to climb ladders or stairs up to 10 feet and lift/carry at least 50 lbs.
- Possess a working cell phone with a car charger.
