CDL A Truck Driver Weekdays

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Nashville, TN — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay and benefits:

• Weekly pay, $26.00 per hour base pay plus $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements.
• Overtime after 40 hours; 40+ hours per week.
• Per diem $50.00 per night; paid travel; paid training.
• Tenure bonus: $1000 each year with the company from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31.
• Schedule Monday–Friday; flexible.

Routes and equipment:

• Deliver to SOLOTo: IN, OH, MI, TN, & KY.
• Tractor types:
  Day Cab and Sleeper; possibility of 26' Straight Truck.
• Trailer types: 48'–53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside, and Container (1 year flatbed required).
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples endorsements required.
• Equipment:
  Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate, Moffett.
• Freight mix of touch/no touch; load securement experience required.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting as required.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL with required endorsements.
• Background and drug test, DOT physical, road test.
• 9 months experience within last 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
