Position: Associate Manager, Logistics (3PL Operations)

Associate Manager Of Logistics

Based in Murfreesboro, TN, the Associate Manager of Logistics (Yogurt) oversees and coordinates logistics operations between 3rd Party-managed warehouses and the LUSA Warehouse Team. The role reports to the Director of Warehousing and provides oversight, coordination, and reporting between operations at 3rd party locations, LUSA Logistics, and Business Unit Customer Service organizations across LUSA.

Key focus areas include overseeing daily execution and KPI management, near to mid‑term capacity management for staffing and dock management, and timeliness of service for inbound and outbound operations. The primary contact for LUSA logistics at the 3PL yogurt facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate logistics operations at 3PL operators within the Yogurt organization
  • Problem solve and design creative solutions for LUSA's distribution & transportation network, facilitate implementation of change
  • Identify and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including backing up departmental colleagues in their primary roles.
  • Monitor warehouse performance targets both short and long term, provide operational and performance reports to internal stakeholders, and prepare monthly reporting to improve logistical spend and identify potential savings.
  • Proactively notify key stakeholders related to service and capacity plans and changes
  • Help inventory control manager monitor inventories; tasks include but are not limited to order & inventory monitoring, on site visits, year‑end inventory physical count & reconciliations, monitor warehouse accuracy and address issues that arise.
  • Maintain close relationships with Customer Service, Supply Planning, Transportation, DCs, and other groups to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders and continuously improve solutions provided.
  • Support, lead, and implement special projects and procedures as determined with management.
  • Provide excellent communication, both verbal and written, to all internal and external customers.
Work Conditions
  • 50% travel required
  • Extended hours may be necessary depending on project needs.

Requirements Education
  • Bachelor’s degree recommended.
  • Major in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field favored.
Experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience within a logistics, warehouse, or transportation setting required.
  • FMCG experience strongly desired.
Certifications and Specific Knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities successfully and work independently while demonstrating initiative.
  • Effective individual contributor, demonstrated leadership and “team player” skills; able to interact and lead at various levels within the organization.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills, and ability to build direct relationships with hourly associates.
