Role DescriptionThe Weekend Fleet Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Richland, MS responsible for overseeing weekend fleet operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transportation activities. This role includes monitoring driver schedules and loads, coordinating dispatch, and responding promptly to operational issues or delays. The Weekend Fleet Manager will communicate regularly with drivers and internal teams, track equipment status, and ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
The role also involves analyzing performance metrics, resolving service challenges, and supporting continuous improvement in weekend operational workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Fleet Operations and Fleet Management to oversee drivers, equipment, and weekend load planning effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management and Analytical Skills to monitor performance, solve problems, and optimize weekend workflows.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT Regulations to ensure full compliance with safety and transportation requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation management is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work weekends on‑site in Loudon, TN and make timely decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and basic computer applications.
- Relevant education or training in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
