Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment while operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Accurately pick orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and pick techniques to ensure correct items are prepared for shipping
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and heavy equipment operation protocols
• Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
• Maintain organization within the warehouse distribution area to optimize materials handling workflows
• Support warehouse supervisor with inventory management tasks and participate in regular safety audits

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order calculations
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment use
• Previous experience in shipping & receiving or materials handling is preferred
• Valid forklift certification is highly desirable; experience with pallet jacks is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order picking and documentation
