Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Regional Human Resources Generalist. The primary function of the Regional Human Resources Generalist is to provide support to the branches in the areas of compensation, benefits, orientation, and employee relations.
- Manages HR function to ensure policies and practices are adhered to by branch and regional management.
- Provides support and coaching to Managers regarding employee relation issues. Provides support for terminations to be approved through the Corporate HR Department.
- Ensures departments are current on employee performance evaluations. Provides reporting to field management regarding performance evaluation overdue evaluations. Periodically reviews completed performance evaluations and provides coaching/feedback to managers on opportunities for improvement.
- Provides support to branches regarding health insurance/wellness issues by fielding daily benefits calls that can be managed locally or defer to Corporate Benefits Specialist for timely employee response or resolution.
- Support managers with regional new hire orientation and benefits review to ensure proper guidance and support with all regional newly hired employees.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and vocational/technical instructors and placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants. Schedules and attends career fairs, information sessions and on-campus visits to identify candidates as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 4 years of experience as a Human Resources professional.
- Professional certification at PHR or SPHR level desirable.
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative/ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, confidentiality, and a level head.
- Familiarity with employee benefits plan administration and compensation plan administration preferred.
- Strong customer relations, communication, and presentations skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed.
