Job Title and Location

3rd Shift Production Operator – Onsite, Murphy, NC

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions.
• Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to solder (or obtain certification).
• Good eyesight capable of distinguishing colors; good hand dexterity and range of motion, including mobility.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with and around magnets that have a strong electromagnetic field.

• Assemble electromechanical products using required manufacturing documentation and tooling (e.g., rotor, stator sub‑assembly, rotor assembly, motor assembly).
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate stator potting mixer/applicator.
• Apply varnish to stator winding and glue/activator by brush to stator and rotor assemblies.
• Operate mold transfer press.
• Attach heat sink onto circuit board and apply potting compound.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive for performance per specifications.
• Load and monitor automated machinery.
• Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.
• Complete cross‑training in all operations.

Must sit or stand for long periods, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

Hourly: $16.00–$20.00 (Murphy, NC)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
