Water Billing Clerk

The City of Murphysboro, Illinois is accepting applications for a Water Billing Clerk within the Water Billing Department at the Daum Administrative Building. • Greeting the public, assisting as necessary in gathering required information.
• Answering the phone, taking and delivering messages.
• Investigating customer complaints, concerns about meter readings, water service, etc.
• Typing, copying, and maintaining a comprehensive filing system.
• Assisting with maintenance of customer accounts.
• Assisting with preparation of billings and delinquency notices.
• Inputting, verifying, and balancing account receipts.
• Inputting, verifying, and balancing deposit receipt records.
• Assisting with preparation and notification of boil water orders.
• Assisting with preparation of account work orders.
