Medsurg Unit Opportunity
This is a Medsurg unit that is blended. We have a thriving Swing Bed Program and also occasionally care for patients who are a PCU level of care. We balance our assignments based on the nursing workload and the level of care of the patients. The ratios are 1:5 Medsurg. 1:5-6 for Swing Bed. 1:3-4 for PCU, based on if the patient is on a drip.
(If the nurse is only Medsurg by background, no problem, the supervisors do a fantastic job with assignments.)
The shift is 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other holiday and every other weekend. There is no on-call.
We have a super engaged team who help to lead several committees on the unit.
