The Press Tender operates powered industrial vehicles such as lift trucks for the staging of baskets at machines and moving of materials throughout the building to support press operations.

Accountabilities:
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and operate equipment in accordance with established safety procedures and regulations.
- Monitor workflow and make production-based decisions while supporting the operation of multiple machines.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Remove excess materials and ensure they are properly sorted and stored in designated locations.
- Safely operate overhead cranes to load and move heavy materials.
- Support machine operators with production activities as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Support press operations by monitoring shaker trays and scrap conveyor systems.
- Assist with die setup procedures and related production changeovers.
- Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues or questionable conditions to leadership.
- Maintain accurate material tag organization and ensure tags remain in the correct location for tracking and recording purposes.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience and prior forklift experience required.
- Ability to operate scan guns for material movement and inventory verification.
- Ability to safely lift, move and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing software and scanning systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment such as tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
