Registered Nurse; RN- day shift

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Day Shift 7a-7p

Horizon Health, together with Murray Calloway, is seeking PRN Registered Nurses for the inpatient Behavioral Health unit in Murray, KY. This is a 12‑bed geriatric psychiatric unit.

• Complete initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission per facility policy; reassess routinely throughout patient stay.
• Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate nursing care activities.
• Conduct therapies in accordance with patient diagnosis and needs.
• Perform treatment interventions following physician orders such as medication administration and medical treatment orders.
• Perform medication reconciliation.
• Follow voluntary and involuntary procedure/process.
• Interpret the nursing and treatment needs of the patient to non‑clinical staff assigned to the patient.
• Insure patient dignity and respect patient values; establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position.

• Minimum two‑year Associate’s Degree.
• License / Certification:
  • State RN certification/license.
  • CPR certification.
  • American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS.
  • Crisis prevention certification.
• Minimum one year experience preferred with appropriate education.
