Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – PRN Day & Night Shift

Horizon Health and Murray Calloway are seeking PRN Registered Nurses for the inpatient Behavioral Health unit in Murray, KY. This 12‑bed geriatric psychiatric unit requires a registered nurse to perform comprehensive nursing care activities including assessment, monitoring, documentation, medication administration, treatment, and daily group/education sessions.

• Complete initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission, and reassess routinely throughout patient stay.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Plan, implement and coordinate nursing care activities for patients.
• Conduct therapies in accordance with patient diagnosis and needs.
• Perform treatment interventions following physician orders including medication administration and medical treatment orders.
• Reconcile medications.
• Follow voluntary and involuntary procedures/processes.
• Interpret nursing and treatment needs of the patient to non‑clinical staff assigned to the patient.
• Ensure patient dignity and respect patient values, establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position.

• Minimum two-year associate’s degree.
• State RN certification/license.
• CPR certification.
• American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS.
• Crisis prevention certification.
• Minimum one year experience preferred with appropriate education.
