Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Day shift 7a-7p
Horizon Health, together with Murray Calloway, is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse for the inpatient Behavioral Health unit in Murray, KY to work the 7a‑7p shift. This 12‑bed geriatric psychiatric unit requires a RN who will assess, monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and changes in condition; maintain accurate patient reports and medical histories; conduct mental and physical assessments; administer medication and treatments;
assist patients with daily activities; and observe patient reactions. The RN will manage therapeutic activities, including daily groups, education, and one‑on‑one sessions, while collaborating with the treatment team to provide the best possible care.
- Complete initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission and reassess routinely throughout the patient’s stay.
- Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Plan, implement, and coordinate nursing care activities.
- Conduct therapies in accordance with the patient’s diagnosis and needs.
- Perform treatment interventions following physician orders, including medication administration and medical treatment orders.
- Conduct medication reconciliation.
- Follow voluntary and involuntary procedures/processes.
- Interpret the nursing and treatment needs of the patient for non‑clinical staff assigned to the patient.
- Ensure patient dignity and respect patient values, establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.

- State RN certification/license.
- CPR certification.
- American Heart Association‑issued BLS and ACLS.
- Crisis prevention certification.
- Minimum one year experience preferred with appropriate education.
