Overview
We’re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Project Accountant to support the financial side of our construction projects from start to finish. This role works closely with Field teams, Treasury, vendors, and customers to keep billing accurate, cash flow moving, and projects compliant.

Compensation & Benefits- Salary: Starting at $58,000

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage customer billings, requisitions, and monthly draw processes using our accounting software
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, including retention tracking and payment reconciliation
- Monitor collections, follow up on outstanding balances, and help resolve billing issues
- Review contract billing requirements and process change orders
- Prepare job cost and cash flow reports and support job review meetings
- File preliminary notices and coordinate lien waivers and releases
- Resolve invoice issues using our vendor invoice tracking software
- Work with the Treasury Manager and vendors to support timely payments
- Enter and track subcontractor SOVs, payments, lien waivers, and COIs
- Support project closeout activities, including final documentation and warranties
- Serve as backup for purchase order processing and assist with general accounting support as needed
- 1–2 years of experience in construction accounting or a project accounting role preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency in Timber Scan preferred but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts
- Knowledge of billing, collections, retention, and vendor payment terms
- Familiarity with lien waivers, COIs, and contract compliance
- Basic understanding of insurance programs including OCIP/CCIP
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position based in a professional office environment, with occasional extended hours as business needs require. This role offers growth potential for individuals who demonstrate initiative, accuracy, and strong collaboration across teams.
