WhatYou’ll Do
As aStaff Accountant, you’ll be responsible for general accounting duties in a high-volume environment. You’ll also provide accounting services to the Operations and Corporate Support teams which require customer service focus and strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Respond to landlord inquiries and research account-related issues.
- Maintain and update lease database.
- Review and validate CAM reconciliations through lease analysis, supporting documentation review, and year-over-year expense comparisons.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Process property accounting invoices and vendor bills.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Store level P&L review and analysis.
- Create and maintain advanced spreadsheets.
- Partner with Support Center and Operations teams to resolve accounting issues and provide support.
- Communicate effectively and professionally.
- Provide backup support for other team members and cross-functional responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 1-2 years accounting experience, preferably in a high transaction volume environment.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, including the chart of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Previous experience with property accounting, general ledger systems, Net Suite a plus.
- Ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with a minimal amount of direct supervision.
- Ability to solve problems and present resolutions.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Very organized with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry
