What will you do in this role?

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed company business plans goals, which may include Total Company Revenue Goals, Gross Profit and Customer Satisfaction ratings.
  • Recruit, onboard and train all Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Associates and New Home Sales Counselors. Serve as head trainer for company mandated Sales Presentation.
  • Serve as keeper of the culture and driver/implementer of "Oakwood Strategies and Absolutes", which include company Sales Presentation, Reporting and Evaluating Daily Metrics and Success Drivers. Motivate and consistently evaluate sales performance based on company and individual sales goals.
  • Act as Designated Market Expert in all communities Oakwood serves. Assist in project managing all aspects of bringing a new community to market, including creating community "prescription" outlining product, pricing, features and sales strategies. Work with Land and Operations to facilitate seamless pass‑off from community acquisition to launch.
  • Produce and evaluate weekly and monthly sales reports. Work directly with marketing to create strategies to drive toward company goals.
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers to develop lead tracking, prospecting and analysis systems; evaluate and create accountability matrices; implement and monitor Realtor and customer referral programs and traffic evaluation systems. Lead/facilitate effective Sales Meetings and Buyer Expectation Meetings; participate in weekend Manager on duty responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Division President and VP of Operations on review and negotiation of sales contracts and necessary product changes. Assist in conflict resolution for escalated buyer concerns.
  • Serve as a member of the Division CORE team and participate in weekly or monthly management meetings (CORE Team Meeting, Product Review Committee, New Communities Meeting, Start Meeting and Monthly Pricing Meeting).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
You Have
  • Ability to lead, influence and inspire those whom you serve.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi‑task.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments to the prescribed standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent required; strong background in production home‑building sales or sales management preferred.
  • Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
