Job Description

The Manager of Change Management is responsible for leading, coordinating, and sustaining effective change management processes across Intermountain Flight and Ambulance Services. This role ensures that organizational, operational, and clinical changes are implemented smoothly, with minimal disruption; maximum engagement of staff and stakeholders; sustained outcomes; and in accordance with 14 CFR Part 5.55 and Intermountain Change Management best practices. This position is critical to ensure that change is managed through risk-based Part 5 practices as well as through relationships, shared ownership, and evidence-based, people-focused practices.

By integrating change management with safety, human factors, and education, the Manager of Change Management helps build a resilient, adaptive, and high-performing medical transport team.

Essential Functions
  • Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive change management framework for clinical, aviation, maintenance, and support functions, ensuring alignment with FAA, CAMTS, and organizational requirements.
  • Leads change initiatives by planning, communicating, and executing change strategies that prioritize people, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Serves as a liaison between Intermountain Flight and Ambulance Services and external customers, facilitating collaborative change processes and ensuring stakeholder needs are addressed. Conducts impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, and readiness evaluations to identify potential barriers and enablers to change.
  • Designs and delivers change management training, communication plans, and support resources to ensure staff engagement and understanding. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of change initiatives through feedback, performance metrics, and incident trend analysis; adjust strategies as needed. Integrates lessons learned from audits, investigations, and safety reports into change management practices.
  • Supports the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) and Safety Management System (SMS) by ensuring changes are risk-assessed, documented, and compliant with regulatory standards and by integrating lessons learned from audits, investigations, and safety reports into management of change programs.
  • Facilitates post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement cycles for all major change initiatives. Develops and presents change management data, progress reports, and trends to leadership and safety committees.
  • Promote a culture of adaptability, open communication, and shared ownership of change throughout the organization. Stays current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in change management and medical transport.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, project management, or process improvement in healthcare, aviation, or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and training delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, set realistic goals, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, safety, aviation, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a change manager or project manager in clinical or aviation settings.
  • Certification in change management, project management, or process improvement (e.g., Prosci, PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of helicopter air ambulance operations (14 CFR Part 135 Subpart L).
  • Knowledge of CAMTS and other applicable medical transport standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $44.99 - $69.44
