DCP). We are seeking a dependable, hardworking 3
DCP Construction General Laborer to assist our field crews across innovative residential, commercial, and specialty projects.
The General Laborer is responsible for providing support to construction crews by performing a variety of general labor, material-handling, site-preparation, cleanup, and basic construction duties. The position assists foremen, skilled tradespeople, and other crew members to keep projects safe, organized, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing construction-related tasks, and willing to learn new skills.
Key Responsibilities- Field Support & Site Prep:
Assist skilled trades (carpenter, concrete, electrical, plumbing) with measuring, cutting, assembly, and site cleanup. Stage tools, materials, and equipment to keep operations running on schedule. - Tool & Equipment Operation:
Safely use standard hand and power tools. Inspect tools for safety and operate ladders, scaffolding, and access platforms per company procedures. - Material Handling:
Unload, receive, track, and stage materials while protecting inventory from weather and waste. Safely clear and dispose of job-site debris. - Safety & Quality Standards:
Follow OSHA standards, participate in daily safety meetings, wear required PPE, and immediately report job-site hazards or equipment defects.
- Experience:
Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or general labor is preferred. Knowledge of general job-site safety practices and basic construction methods is a plus. - Physical Capability:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and repeatedly lift 50+ lbs in varied outdoor weather conditions. - Core
Skills:
Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, basic tape measure skills, and the ability to follow instructions closely. - Travel Credentials:
Valid Driver's License and valid Passport required for domestic and international project deployments.
- Paid Training: 8-week training program based in Tooele, UT at $18.00–$20.00/hr DOE starting within 2 weeks of Notice to Proceed.
- Travel Perks: 20% hourly rate premium during on-site travel assignments, plus production bonus opportunities.
- Travel Covered:
Full company coverage for lodging, 3 meals per day, and round-trip flights home during standard 7-week on-site rotation schedules.
