Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Hypertension and Critical Care Physician with an interest in Cardiovascular Critical Care to practice at Intermountain Medical Center, the premier academic medical center and flagship qua ternary hospital for Intermountain Health.
The facility has 96 ICU beds across four specialized ICUs and is ranked #1 in the United States for myocardial infarction survival. It houses a nationally accredited Intermountain Health Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease.
In This Role- Practice location:
Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah - Diverse clinical role incorporating pulmonary hypertension clinic, procedural time, and ICU coverage
- 0.3 FTE Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic (≈548 hours annually; ~1.5 clinic days per week)
- 0.6 FTE Coronary ICU (CICU) coverage, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays (≈9 ICU weeks per year, 30-night shifts annually)
- 0.1 FTE Right Heart Catheterization Procedural Time (≈182 hours annually; ~½ day per week)
The role involves contributing to a growing cardiovascular ICU and pulmonary hypertension program as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering advanced therapies to complex and critically ill patients.
Ideal CandidateStrong experience in pulmonary and critical care with preferred expertise in pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular critical care, and a demonstrated interest in caring for complex cardiovascular patient populations.
Protected academic time may be available for candidates with appropriate academic experience.
How We’ll Support You- Competitive Compensation: $ annual salary
- Incentives:
$30,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation assistance, and $75,000 student loan repayment (if applicable)
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training in Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- Not requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
