Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Hypertension and Critical Care Physician with an interest in Cardiovascular Critical Care to practice at Intermountain Medical Center, the premier academic medical center and flagship qua ternary hospital for Intermountain Health. This state‑of‑the‑art facility houses 96 ICU beds across four specialized ICUs and is actively expanding. Intermountain Medical Center is ranked #1 in the United States for myocardial infarction survival and is a Three‑Star STS Cardiac Surgery Hospital.
The Intermountain Health Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease is nationally accredited through the PHA and offers comprehensive care for all forms of pulmonary hypertension, including BPA and PTE for CTEPH.
In this role, you will contribute to a growing cardiovascular ICU and pulmonary hypertension program, functioning as a key member of a multidisciplinary team and delivering advanced therapies to complex and critically ill patients. Protected academic time may be available for candidates with appropriate academic experience.
In this role, you can expect:- Practice location:
Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah - Diverse clinical role incorporating pulmonary hypertension clinic, procedural time, and ICU coverage
- 0.3 FTE Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic (approximately 548 hours annually
; averaging 1.5
clinic days per week
) - 0.6 FTE Coronary ICU (CICU) coverage
, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 1,095 hours annually
, equivalent to approximately 9 ICU weeks per year
, including 30-night shifts annually
) - 0.1 FTE Right Heart Catheterization Procedural Time (approximately 182 hours annually
, averaging ½ day per week
)
- Competitive Compensation: $ annual salary
- Incentives:
$30,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation assistance, and up to $75,000 student loan repayment (if applicable)
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training in Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
