About this role:

As a Thrombosis Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will join a collaborative group of internal medicine boarded physicians supporting a high-performing, academically engaged thrombosis service combining clinical excellence, guideline development, and impactful research. You will join a collaborative team of nationally recognized leaders in venous thromboembolism (VTE), including:

Leaders in pragmatic trials and implementation science

Co-Chairs of the CHEST VTE guidelines

Guideline experts involved in ACC/AHA PE guideline development and ISTH/ ASH Guideline development

Together, we are advancing VTE care through clinical innovation, research, and guideline development . This position offers a balanced mix of:

Outpatient thrombosis clinic (Edwards Internal Medicine Clinic)
Inpatient consultation service

Teaching across Intermountain and University of Utah programs

Research and scholarly opportunities

Schedule:

Clinic + consult service + research time, with shared call

The Edwards Internal Medicine Teaching Clinic at Intermountain Medical Center is a premier teaching site; a commitment to education and mentorship is essential.

What you’ll bring:

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

Residency training Internal Medicine Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine Interest in thrombosis, anticoagulation, and VTE care Commitment to teaching, collaboration, and clinical excellence

Interest in research or quality improvement

Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain oneFull prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis
