Mount Vernon Academy is a small private school with 130 students in grades k-12th grade. We will be beginning our 49th year as a school this fall. This is an amazing place to teach. We have a full-time elementary teaching position available. Our elementary class sizes are typically between 12-16 students.
ResponsibilitiesBe part of an excellent seasoned teaching staff. The main teaching responsibility would be to lead and guide a group of academically focused students as an elementary teacher through a nine-month school year.
QualificationsWe prefer that our teachers are licensed professional educators in the State of Utah, or at minimum, have a four-year bachelor's degree. Often times, our teachers will go on to get a professional educator license while teaching in their own classroom. This is a great place to teach while a teacher is going through their professional teacher training. They can use the year doing their student teaching and get paid in the process.
