Overview
Hazelwood Engineering is a dynamic organization focusing on custom residential, multi-family, and industrial building design services across the Intermountain West. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a self-motivated and ambitious Structural Project Manager to increase their technical and leadership capabilities rapidly.
Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Oversee all phases from schematic design to construction administration.
- Client and Team Coordination: Act as the main contact for clients and projects, coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants.
- Design and Review: Produce and assess structural analyses, calculations, and construction drawings, utilizing finite-element and BIM tools.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor junior engineers and drafters, delegating tasks and ensuring quality and compliance.
- Project Management: Handle project scope, schedules, budgets, billing, and risk management.
- Construction Support: Provide support such as shop drawing and RFI reviews, site visits, and coordination with contractors.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct QA/QC reviews, ensuring compliance with building codes and standards, and documenting design choices.
- Cultural Contribution: Engage in company culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field (continuation in qualifications expected).
- PE licensure (required)
- Knowledge of Revit (required)
- 8+ years of relevant experience (required)
- Working knowledge of engineering for tilt-up and post-tensioned concrete structures (preferred)
