Program Coordinator - Supported Independent Living Services & Stability Post CareAbout the role – Permanent Full Time
Lead the delivery of trauma-informed Supported Independent Living and Stability Post Care services for young people aged 16–21 in Mount Gambier. You will oversee day-to-day operations of a 24/7 residential service, coordinate care plans, ensure compliance and reporting standards are met, manage rosters and budgets, and lead a team of Youth Development Workers. This role works closely with DCP and key stakeholders to create a safe, supportive, and home‑like environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
About you:
You are an experienced and compassionate leader with a background in youth work, community services, or disability. Skilled in trauma‑informed practice, team leadership, and service coordination, you can confidently manage compliance, reporting, and complex situations. You are organised, resilient, culturally aware, and committed to supporting vulnerable young people to thrive and transition successfully into adulthood.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of Cert IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or Disability.
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable and at‑risk children and young people with complex needs and/or a disability.
- Childhood development knowledge.
- Trauma-Informed care knowledge.
