Job Description
Neuro Critical Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Intermountain Health, located in Murray, UT. As a Neuro‑Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP; Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will work with a high‑performing, patient‑centered team dedicated to providing quality care and excellent patient experience on a highly collaborative non‑clinician team.
In this role you can anticipate:- Providing 24‑hour coverage for the 24‑bed IMED Neurocritical Care Unit; practice includes admissions, discharges, transfers, rounding, procedures, etc.
- Providing inpatient neurocritical care consults in IMED medical/surgical/trauma/thoracic ICUs.
- No clinic responsibilities associated with this position; inpatient only.
- Twelve 12‑hour shifts per month, rotating days (7a‑7p), nights (7p‑7a), weekends, and holidays.
- Working with a well‑established and highly collaborative team of 4 APPs (soon to be
7), and 8 NCC Physicians. - Relocation assistance (if applicable).
- APRN or PA‑C degree from an accredited program.
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
- BLS certification and DEA.
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.

Physical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

Additional InformationScheduled weekly hours: 40 hours. Hourly rate from $54.84 to $84.63, dependent on experience.
