Position: FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST MEDICAL OFFICE

Position Overview

The Spine Institute in Murray, UT is seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to join our team in a medical office reception role. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression, supporting day-to-day front desk operations, and helping ensure a smooth experience for patients and staff alike.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
  • Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
  • Check patients in and out, verify required information, and collect necessary forms
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information as needed
  • Process paperwork, correspondence, and basic office documents
  • Support clinical and administrative staff with front office tasks
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic communications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
  • Follow office procedures to help ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with applicable privacy standards
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or medical office role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software or scheduling systems
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records or practice management systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes

    Prior experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing environment
