Position Overview
The Spine Institute in Murray, UT is seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to join our team in a medical office reception role. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression, supporting day-to-day front desk operations, and helping ensure a smooth experience for patients and staff alike.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
- Check patients in and out, verify required information, and collect necessary forms
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information as needed
- Process paperwork, correspondence, and basic office documents
- Support clinical and administrative staff with front office tasks
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic communications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Follow office procedures to help ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with applicable privacy standards
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or medical office role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software or scheduling systems
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
- Experience with electronic medical records or practice management systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
Prior experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing environment
