Overview

Ivory Homes, Utah’s #1 Home builder, is growing and is establishing a Director of Information Technology position to lead the company’s technology strategy, day-to-day IT operations, and information security. The successful candidate will work closely with leaders and teams across Ivory and its family of businesses and foundations to deliver reliable systems, a strong security posture, and predictable project execution, guided by transparency, accountability, and delivering measurable value to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Establish strong working relationships across the enterprise; partner with leaders to align technology priorities and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain the IT roadmap, including cloud hosting strategy, staying current on homebuilding industry and technology trends; prioritize investments and manage tradeoffs across cost, speed, and risk.
  • Set standards and governance for intake/prioritization, project execution, change control, vendor management, and lifecycle management; ensure role clarity across internal teams, the MSP, and development/implementation partners.
  • Establish, track, and report critical KPIs for system health, information security posture, and project delivery/timelines; provide trends, insights, and risk/issue escalation with mitigation plans.
  • Lead IT service delivery and reliability (service desk, infrastructure, endpoints, identity, backups, and connectivity), improving performance through monitoring, maintenance, patching, and backup/restore validation.
  • Own the information security program and risk posture, including identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response readiness, security awareness, and vendor security reviews.
  • Own the ERP and core business systems roadmap with business stakeholders; define the roadmap, coordinate resources and vendors, manage timelines/risks, and deliver measurable progress toward a stable, scalable environment.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery across business applications, integrations, and reporting; reduce manual work and improve data visibility and quality.
  • Lead the IT team and partners with a service mindset; coach and develop team members, set expectations, and drive accountability.
  • Own IT budgets, purchasing, contracts, and vendor performance.
Qualifications

  • Proven IT leader with (8+ years) experience leading teams and/or service providers, delivering reliable operations and modernization outcomes in a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Strong partner across the business; communicates clearly, builds alignment, and drives accountability across internal teams and external partners.
  • Practical cybersecurity and risk management experience, with a track record of implementing controls that improve security with minimal business impact.
  • Experience creating and executing roadmaps, managing budgets and vendors, and delivering major initiatives (ERP and core business systems preferred).
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in homebuilding, construction, real estate development, or similar operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Entra , endpoint management, backup/DR practices, and core infrastructure fundamentals.
