Fabrication Manager

The Fabrication Manager oversees all counter top fabrication operations, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, and a safe work environment. This role is responsible for managing fabrication staff, coordinating workflow, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all countertops meet Accent Countertops’ quality standards and installation timelines.

The Fabrication Manager works closely with templating, scheduling, and installation teams to maintain smooth production flow and meet customer expectations.

• Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop, including cutting, edging, polishing, sink cutouts, and finishing.
• Ensure production schedules are met to support installation timelines.
• Coordinate workflow between templating, fabrication, and installation departments.
• Monitor production efficiency and adjust staffing or processes as needed.

• Supervise, train, and support fabrication technicians and shop personnel.
• Assign daily tasks and manage shop workflow.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on quality, accountability, and safety.

• Ensure all fabricated countertops meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, finish quality, and structural integrity.
• Implement processes to reduce errors, remakes, and material waste.

• Oversee proper operation of fabrication equipment including CNC machines, bridge saws, polishers, and hand tools.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently.

• Enforce shop safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure employees use required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized fabrication facility.

• Monitor slab usage, consumables, and shop supplies.
• Coordinate with purchasing or operations for material needs.
• Minimize waste and optimize slab utilization.

• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and fabrication quality.
• Help implement new technologies, machinery, or fabrication techniques.
• Track key production metrics and shop performance.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• 3–5+ years experience in stone counter top fabrication or similar custom, high volume manufacturing
• 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or TOC experience
• Ability to read CAD drawings and shop drawings
• Ability to manage multiple production priorities

• Strong knowledge of fabrication equipment and shop processes
• Experience with CNC fabrication equipment
• Spanish speaking a plus

• Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials as needed
• Exposure to stone dust, noise, and shop equipment (PPE required)
