Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
Essential Functions- Day Shift, Primary Outpatient/Ambulatory (covers inpatient needs as well)
- Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, developmental skills). Seeks and evaluates information from interdisciplinary team members.
- Plan: Uses assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized care plans. Involves patients, families, teams, and physicians in plan development and education. Prepares patients for follow‑up needs.
- Implement: Directs interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration. Provides or delegates care consistent with care plan, guidelines, and licensure. Prioritizes and coordinates patient care delivery effectively.
- Evaluate: Evaluates patient response to interventions, reviews goal achievement, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction. Revises plan as indicated.
- Professionalism: Promotes nursing profession, participates in development of others. Integrates legal and ethical standards, complies with regulations, documents accurately, understands legal implications.

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start. Less than 12 months of experience must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of hire. Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Experience in wound ostomy or inpatient acute related experience is preferred.
Physical RequirementsOngoing need to see and read information, labels, and patient needs; operate monitors and identify equipment. Must verbally communicate, listen, and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies. Manual dexterity for fine equipment manipulation. Use computer and typing for documentation, medication prep. Lift and transfer patients and move supplies, including heavy items. Walk and assist with ambulating patients, push/pull gurneys and equipment.
Stand for extended periods.
