About this role.
As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in our Neuroscience Center, you ll work collaboratively with six Neurosurgeons and seven APPs to provide safe patient care and high-quality patient experiences. Throughout the day you ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other specialties, and you ll have excellent support staff and onsite resources readily available.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Neurosurgery colleagues and other specialties to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system (system-wide).
- Provide care in a setting with flexible OR/Inpatient hours.
- Contribute to a team-focused, mentorship-rich environment with strong program support.
- Practice at the Intermountain Health Neuroscience Center in addition to St. Vincent Regional Hospital.
- Support a Level 1 Trauma Center, Certified Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center with PCI.
- An active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license by the MT State Board.
- Prescriptive Authority by the MT State Board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and DEA license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment (site-specific).
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Experience with computers, including Microsoft and Google products; ability to learn new applications relevant to the position.
- Passion for Neurosurgery; surgical experience is preferred.
