Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs.
Responsibilities- Assess:
Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative and developmental skills as appropriate). - Plan:
Uses assessment information and critical thinking skills to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care; actively seeks patient, family, team and physician involvement and prepares for further support needs. - Implement:
Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination and collaboration as appropriate; provides or delegates care consistent with plan of care, guidelines and professional licensure provisions. - Evaluate:
Evaluates patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction; revises plan of care as indicated. - Professionalism:
Promotes nursing profession and participates in development of others; integrates legal and ethical standards into practice; complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of licensure, provides accurate and timely documentation, and understands legal implications.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Practice specific certification as required by the clinical setting (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- RNs with less than 12 months experience must obtain BSN within four years of start date.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. - Physical requirements:
Read information, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies; frequent computer use and typing; lift and move patients; stand for extended periods; navigate busy rooms; transport equipment.

Utah. Scheduled weekly hours: 20 (20 budgeted hours). Shift: Part time (20 hours over 3 days – Mon–Wed or Tues–Thur). Hourly rate: $35.22–$53.29 (actual dependent on experience).
