Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess:
    Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status. Seeks and evaluates information from the interdisciplinary team including patient, family, physician, and other care providers.
  • Plan:
    Develops an individualized plan of care using assessment information and clinical judgment. Involves patient, family, and team in education and planning for ongoing support needs after the current episode of care ends.
  • Implement:
    Directs the care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration to deliver care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and licensure. Manages priorities, time, supplies, and resources.
  • Evaluate:
    Assesses patient response to interventions and outcomes. Revises the plan of care as indicated and reassesses changes.
  • Professionalism:
    Maintains legal and ethical standards, complies with regulatory requirements, documents accurately and timely, and understands the implications of care delivery.

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No holidays
  • No call requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • Note:

    BSN is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements in place at the time of their hire/promotion.
Physical Requirements
  • Ongoing ability to see and read information, labels, and patient data; operate monitors and identify equipment.
  • Frequent verbal communication with patients, families, and staff; ability to hear and interpret alarms and instructions quickly and accurately, including during emergencies.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate equipment; computer use and documentation of patient care.
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment; navigate crowded environments.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transport and supply distribution.
  • For roles requiring driving: ability to drive and respond to traffic and safety signals.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $35.22 – $53.29, dependent on experience.
