Overview
Full Time, Nights Position. Medical G3 Unit Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
Responsibilities- Assess: Perform appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate). Seek and evaluate information from the interdisciplinary team: patient, family, physician, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, and others.
- Plan: Use assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop an individualized plan of care. Involve patient, family, and team in developing the plan of care, including needed education. Collaborate to prepare for further support needs once the current episode of care outcomes are met (teaching, referrals, follow-up).
- Implement: Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration as appropriate. Provide or delegate care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and licensure provisions. Demonstrate the ability to set priorities and coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effective management of time, supplies, and resources.
- Evaluate: Evaluate patient response to interventions by reviewing achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, and satisfaction of patient and family. Revise the plan of care as indicated and reassess changes as appropriate.
- Professionalism: Promote the nursing profession and participate in the development of others. Integrate legal and ethical standards into practice, comply with regulatory standards, practice within scope of licensure, provide accurate and timely documentation, and understand legal implications of care delivery.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start of employment.
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of hire date.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent verbal communication with patients, families, and care teams; ability to hear and understand alarms and instructions promptly, especially during emergencies. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment. Prolonged computer use for documenting patient care and other duties. Ability to lift, bend, and transfer patients;
capacity to move supplies and equipment of varying weights, including heavy items. Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and assist with transporting/ambulating patients. May include driving occasional required tasks and driving a vehicle if applicable.

36. The hourly range is $35.22 – $53.29, dependent upon experience.
