Position Summary
Position Summary
What You'll DoAssists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches. Supports the Open Door Policy, participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, encouraging membership renewals, participating in sales and marketing events, maintaining marketing recaps and other required documentation, and striving to meet membership goals.
Promotes the value of Sam's Club products and services. Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, providing guidance on self‑service technology, assisting transactions at registers or self‑checkout, and ensuring club pick‑up orders are filled. Oversees the assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining cart availability, and assisting with parking lot cleanliness.
Completes accounting records, files transactions, and other documentation by following accounting office procedures, providing funds for register operation, creating and interpreting financial analysis reports, assisting with accounting investigations, preparing daily deposits, overseeing Cash Fund Transfers, investigating overages and shortages in cash register drawers, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information. Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, analyzing information from multiple sources, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities.
Demonstrates and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards through the Open Door Policy, assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues, leading and participating in teams, and modeling how to adapt to change. Respects individuals by embracing differences, building strong relations, communicating with impact, and fostering a workplace where associates thrive.
