American Stone is looking for a detail‑oriented, hands‑on team member to elevate the experience across our retail yards. This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, marketing, and customer experience. You will help ensure our yards look organized, stocked, priced clearly, and ready to convert customers, whether they are homeowners starting a backyard project or contractors managing large builds. Your time will be split between the office—working with the marketing team—and on‑location in the yards, bringing our campaigns to life.
This is not a desk‑only marketing role; most of your impact will come from executing in our yards, organizing, improving, and maintaining real physical spaces that drive sales.
Ideal candidates have retail or merchandising experience, are self‑starters who take pride in clean, organized, high‑functioning spaces, and enjoy improving systems rather than merely maintaining them.
Comfortable with:
- Being on your feet for extended periods
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Moving signage, materials, and light products as needed
- Maintain and improve yard layout and product displays across locations.
- Execute in‑yard marketing campaigns—signage, displays, layout—and ensure they are clearly understood and consistently implemented across locations.
- Ensure pricing signage is clear, accurate, and consistently displayed.
- Create a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers.
- Perform regular yard audits.
- Own merchandising standards across locations and hold stores accountable through regular audits and reporting.
- Execute pricing updates and signage accuracy.
- Learn and support products and pricing in Odoo.
- Maintain pricing consistency between the physical yard and the digital catalog.
- Travel between Utah locations regularly.
- Assist with inventory counts or product organization.
- Build simple systems—templates, signage standards, checklists.
- Odoo (CRM, inventory, pricing)
- Canva (basic signage and visual assets)
- Excel / Google Sheets (tracking + organization)
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized, reliable, and self‑motivated
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Basic understanding of marketing, retail, or merchandising
- Willingness to learn systems and improve processes
- Ability to travel between locations (reliable transportation required)
- Experience in retail merchandising or store operations
- Familiarity with construction, landscaping, or building materials
- Experience with inventory or pricing systems
- Yards feel clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Pricing is clear, consistent, and easy to understand; errors are minimal and corrected quickly.
- Customers feel confident and supported walking the yard.
- Stores maintain a consistent standard across all locations.
- Campaigns are consistently executed across all locations.

- Inventory management (min/max, forecasting)
