• Promote corporate brands to customers.
• Assist with preparation of produce platters and trays, inform customers of produce specials, and recommend items.
• Respond to customer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store; provide suggestions.
• Maintain knowledge of products; assist with inventory, labeling, and stocking.
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness; take appropriate action.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep logs.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, accidents, or safety risks.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Comparable retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, or writing).

• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
