Optical Manager - Fashion Place

Overview

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to join our in-house Optical team. In this role, you
10ll use your professional skill set and product expertise to create exceptional experiences for customers. Acting as both a coach and team player, you
10ll lead your store's Opticians and consult customers as needed.

• Optical duties:
  Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs; take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy; ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements; explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Leadership responsibilities:
  Manage a team of Opticians by giving and receiving feedback, conduct ongoing development conversations, and lead by example on the sales floor; uphold exceptional service standards and implement retail experience programs that increase loyalty and engagement; report to the Store Leader and oversee Optician Apprentice Program participants; stay up to date with HR policies to promote a productive, safe culture and leverage company resources to increase engagement;
  
  support store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.

• A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states) with 2+ years in a management position
• Strong leader and mentor who drives optical metrics and adheres to optical standards
• Professional, open-minded decision-maker; clear communicator; able to break down technical terms for customers
• Detail-oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Customer- and teammate-focused, with a serious but collaborative approach; not on the Office of Inspector General s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

• Competitive base salary or hourly rate plus eligible variable compensation; final compensation determined by qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market data
