Job Description: The Warehouse and Lead Onsite Fabricator works as part of a team to execute design and lighting installation, run shows, manage scenic elements, and strike events in high profile locations throughout Colorado and select destinations nationwide.
This is a Full-Time position with an expected average of 40 hours of work per week. The schedule will vary and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends are often required in this position. This position reports to the Director of Operations, and works in conjunction with the Production and Designer teams.
Responsibilities- Execute a project from start to finish, including carpentry, welding, finishing and painting.
- Operate standard power tools such as table saw, router, sanders, pneumatics and various hand power tools required in the fabrication and assembly of final products
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Prepare elements for paint, and execute basic paint work, finishing and touch ups
- Perform on-site installation of event décor such as, furniture, pipe and drape, event lighting, scenery, floral, and custom pieces as designed using technical knowledge and standard tools.
- Lead a team of fabricators to install and strike custom event decor
- Give clear direction and assist with the use of power tools and rigging equipment onsite, both indoors and outdoors
- Work independently as well as with a team to meet deadline
- Drive materials to and from site as needed
- Lift, climb ladders, and be on your feet and outdoors
- Drive vehicles, including vans or SUVs, to events which may include hauling up to 16’ trailers behind vans/SUVs and box trucks of up to 26’.
- Work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- 2-5+ years professional experience working in a scenic, carpentry, or fabrication shop. Theatre, events, or film experience is required. Truck driving experience (No CDL required) is required.
- Strong construction and layout skills and the ability to read mechanical drawings
- Must have experience with a wide variety of Hand and power tools.
- Strong candidates will have prior knowledge of wood framing, welding, and finish carpentry.
- A wide knowledge of fabrication materials is essential.
- An eye for detail and extreme accuracy

- Professional attitude and organization skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Painting knowledge
- Truck driving up to 26’ box trucks
