Responsibilities
As a part-time Maintenance Technician, you will be the face of our community’s upkeep and resident satisfaction. You’ll own the daily upkeep of apartments and common areas built in the 1980s—systems, finishes and layouts that require a proactive approach and the ability to troubleshoot basic repairs.
- Resolve resident service requests: troubleshooting, repair, follow-through.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections across units and common areas (1980s-era building envelope, systems, finishes).
- Identify improvement opportunities, flag property-wide issues, and propose solutions to the leadership team.
- Ensure all repairs meet our standards for quality, safety, compliance.
- Partner with our team to maintain exceptional resident satisfaction and property appearance.
- Maintain accurate records: service logs, parts inventory, vendor coordination.

- Ability to document work orders, maintain logs, coordinate vendor contractors when needed and support the property leadership in planning preventive maintenance.
- Ability to lift, climb ladders, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of reliability and high‑quality work.
- Strong interpersonal skills, resident‑service orientation.
- Proficient in maintenance tools, time‑management, cleaning up after yourself, and leaving job sites in excellent condition.
- Comfortable working independently, solving problems proactively, and escalating when needed.
