About Meridian Counseling

Meridian Counseling is a new, growing group practice dedicated to integrating mental health into everyday health and wellness. We serve clients on the Westside of Los Angeles and beyond.

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and patient education. The role offers flexible scheduling and supports advanced client care.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, develop diagnoses, and create treatment plans.
  • Provide medication management and emotional support as part of patient‑centered care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Meridian’s EHR system.
  • Participate in optional professional development and consultations with the clinical team.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, staff, and leadership for integrated treatment.
  • Manage a self‑directed schedule; available full‑time or part‑time, employee or contractor.
  • Focus exclusively on patient care;
    Meridian handles billing, credentialing, and client acquisition.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Nursing and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Active, unrestricted license in Utah.
  • Minimum 3 years psychiatric medication management experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of psychiatric medications, risks, benefits, and outcomes.
  • Ability to educate patients on treatment plans and medication use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional tone and demeanor in meetings, sessions, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with EHR and telehealth platforms.
  • Commitment to patient‑centered care and professional growth.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods, sitting or standing.
  • Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional schedule flexibility as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Part‑time and full‑time positions available.
  • Remote, hybrid, or on‑site options.
